I enjoy creating content and creatives that are attractive, works well & makes business work. I work as a Graphic Designer at Startup and I approach the business in a holistic way. Working in a startup requires the skill to learn quickly and apply knowledge to get results. Having a limited knowledge of digital marketing, I started playing with Facebook Ads and Instagram. I even joined Twitter and Medium which I was rather reluctant about before. It was useful in the beginning but as soon as I started to dive deeper, I started facing constant challenges about user acquisition and user retention. I was overwhelmed by the number of niches while struggling to connect all the dots; the guides and tutorials were not enough anymore.
With the world becoming increasingly digitized, organizations around the world are waking up to the new prospect presented by digital marketing. This meant I had to upgrade my skill set in order to improve my understanding and get some hands-on experience in digital marketing. So I can go on to my ultimate goal – becoming a Full-Fledged Digital Marketer.
Since I work full time, I was looking for a digital marketing course online which gives me flexible study timings, shorter course duration and also a recognized degree. After spending hours researching online, I decided on Udacity’s Digital Marketing Nano Degree because it gives you the opportunity to form a comprehensive understanding of the whole digital marketing ecosystem.
The reason I enrolled for this particular program was that unlike other similar programs, Udacity offers hands-on experience with live projects focused on preparing students to be industry-ready. It is a 3-month course providing personalized mentor support right from enrollment to graduation. This course uses Slack channels and Facebook groups to interact with peers and discuss projects and ideas.
It guides you from Marketing Fundamentals all the way to Measuring and Optimizing results with a healthy balance of videos, infographics, and reading that keeps you sharp and wanting more. The course has been designed in collaboration with companies like Hubspot, Facebook, Google, Hoots Suite, and many more reputed companies to cover a number of key areas, such as Content Strategy, Social Media, SEO, SEM, and Email Marketing.
To add icing to the cake, I capitalized on a special discount offer which helped me save money and I also could access a few other online courses for free, to upgrade my skills. As I advance through this course, I feel more comfortable with my newly acquired knowledge. There are still six chapters left, which is why I’m going to write another more elaborate post assessing my understanding after I’ve completed the program. Make sure to drop by frequently, or feel free to follow me.
